Hillcrest Computer Lab

1717 13 th St, Hillcrest Park Mount Vernon

The Hillcrest 4-H Computer Lab is available to 4-H clubs for free. It has 8 computers, most of which run MSXP on a fiber optic internet connection. Available software programs include: Office Professional 2003, ArcView 3.3, MS Visual Studio 2003, Front Page and Dreamweaver.

GPS / GIS

The Global Position System operates through a series of geo-synchronous satellites that deliver trilateral location signals. (It is a wireless compass that can operate anywhere in the world, collecting and storing mapping data.)

ArcView is a Global Information System software created by ESRI that allows users to map large amounts of data in easy to understand formats.

Our 4-H program owns 4 GPS receivers (compasses) available for check out, and the GIS software is available at the Hillcrest Park Lab and Upper Skagit Library in Concrete, as well as training opportunities.
