Registration opens at 7:30.

 

At the Country Living Expo and Cattlemen’s Winterschool,
you can attend classes on a multitude of topics,
network with other small farmers,
enjoy a prime rib lunch and
visit with local agricultural businesses offering you service.

 

 

 

 

 

Class Information:

We offer 2 different ways for you to check out our class list!

We have so many classes, that we want to give you convenient ways to look at what's offered, but give you enough information that you can choose classes that are a good fit for you.

Beef

Calling all cattlemen and cattlewomen! Here's a few beef raising classes for you.

Bees

Bees! Mother nature needs help now! Where have all the bees gone?

Country Living

Was Laura Ingalls your hero? Step back in time and learn how to adapt homesteading ways to provide for your family. (This webpage also includes a list of business and equipment classes.)

Equine

Horse lovers, spend some time with some great veterinarians!

Fiber

You’ve sheared your fiber animals, now what? Learn the secrets transforming your fiber into colorful artwork with these classes.

Foods

Hungering to learn something new? Love to be in the kitchen? Or maybe you've hunted it, fished it, milked it, or harvested it, and now you need to know how to put it to good use!

Horticulture

Crop farmers, gardeners, and lovers of nature—we know you’ll enjoy these classes!

Poultry

The neighborhood gates are open to hens! Adopt chickens into your family; know where your eggs come from!

Sheep & Goats

Interested in sheep or goats? Need some veterinary help with your flock or herd? These classes will give you what you're looking for.

Swine

Raising your own bacon – produce lean, tender pork for your family.

 

 

Registration Information

How to Register:

On-line registration is closed, but registration will be available at the door.
Please print the form and fill it out, also choosing your classes. That way we can register you quickly the day of the event! (Please note that some classes listed on the form may fill as new registrations are received at the door. It is first come, first served. We cannot cannot quarantee the availability of any classes.) See class list above for class descriptions.

Confirmation:

When registration and payment is received, attendee will receive a confirmation e-mail from countrylivingexpo@gmail.com. Please allow several days, as volume of registration received may delay confirmation e-mails.

Availability:

Student sponsorships are still available!

 

Registration will also be available "at the door" the day of the event.

Registration Costs:

General Registration:

Regular:
Paid after Dec. 31, 2011: $60.00

Student Registration:

The first 200 students (ages 12-18) who register and pay $10 receive a sponsorship to cover remaining attendance costs. Sponsorships available until noted on this website.

Payment Information:

Attendees can pay by mail with check, pay online with a credit card through Brown Paper Tickets or pay the date of the event.

1. Pay By Mail with Check. (Check MUST be postmarked by January 21, or we may not receive it before the event. If unable to mail before January 21, please choose option 2 or 3)
  • Please send the registration form(s) along with your check.
  • Make your check payable to: Livestock Master Foundation.
  • Send to: Country Living Expo, c/o WSU Skagit County Extension, 11768 Westar Ln, Suite A, Burlington, WA 98233.

2. Pay On-line with Credit Card through Brown Paper Tickets: Please note that we cannot accept credit cards the day of the event. Only cash or checks will be accepted. Please pay online before the event, if you wish to pay via card. Online payments will not be accepted after 7:30 AM PST, Thursday, January 26.

  • Please note you will have to pay a small service fee for each attendee, based on the ticket cost.
  • Please note: After choosing a ticket type on the their website, please choose to enter a name for each ticket. Later, you will also be prompted to enter your contact information. This will help us match up your on-line payment with the separate class registration that we receive.

  • You do not need to mail in a printed copy of the registration form.

2. Pay the Day of the Event

  • Please come to the registration table, to the section marked "Registered Not Paid." (If you have not already sent in your class registration, go to the "New Registrations" table.)
  • Cash or check will be accepted. Sorry, we cannot process credit card payments the day of the event.
